The Budget is the annual financial and economic report made by the Chancellor of the Exchequer; the current Chancellor is Alistair Darling, and he has announced that the 2010 Budget will take place at 12.30pm on Wednesday 24th March 2010.

The Budget is used to inform Parliament and the General Public of the state of the economy, public finances and economic objectives. It is when announcements are made regarding changing taxes and how those taxes will be used.
