I have to accrue my holiday pay?
Yes. As your employer, Crest Plus Exchange Limited is legally obliged to accrue your holiday pay.

How much holiday pay will I receive?
Crest Plus Exchange Limited’s holiday year runs from 6th April to 5th April.

In each holiday year, the employee’s company holiday entitlement will be 28 days, inclusive of public holidays.

If the employee commences or leaves employment with Crest Plus Exchange Limited during a holiday year, the employee’s company holiday entitlement in respect of that holiday year will be calculated at the rate of 0.603 days for each completed week of service in that company holiday year.

Why do I pay National Insurance and PAYE on my Holiday Pay?
Holiday pay is deducted from the Contract Sum received from the agency before your Net Pay is calculated and paid to you; it is then accrued until you request it. Therefore, PAYE and Employee’s NI must be applied before it is paid.

How do I claim holiday pay?
Simply notify us in writing, providing the following details:

  • Your full name
  • Crest ID Number (you can find it on your payslip)
  • The dates you wish to take as holiday and the number of days you wish to be paid for
  • A signature

You can send an e-mail request if you provided a valid e-mail address when you registered, or if you have registered with the website.

Why do I have to ask for my holiday pay in writing?
As an employee of Crest Plus Exchange Limited, you must give us notice before taking time off for a holiday, as explained in your Terms of Employment. Your written request is stored on your employment record as evidence to demonstrate that this policy has been followed. This also confirms the number of days that you are requesting and when you are entitled to be paid.

When will I receive my holiday pay?
All holiday pay will be paid by BACS on a Wednesday afternoon to credit your account on the Friday.
Requests for holiday pay must be received before 3pm on Wednesday in order for payments to be made that week. All requests received after 3pm on a Wednesday, will be processed in the following week.

Can I receive my holiday pay automatically every Friday with my wages?
No, unfortunately not. You are entitled to take holidays and will be paid for them. However, you must notify us in writing and give a week’s notice that you wish to take a holiday.

I am CIS/Freelance. Why am I not entitled to Holiday Pay?
Our CIS Plus and Freelance Plus solutions are for genuinely self-employed subcontractors. As a self-employed individual, you have chosen alternative benefits, and are therefore not entitled to the same benefits as an employee, which includes holiday pay. You are therefore responsible for making your own holiday provisions.
