Self-Employment Checklists

In order to ensure that your self-employment status as a subcontractor is genuine, and as part of our continued commitment to compliance, a Self-Employment Checklist is completed for each individual project; this can also be done either online or over the phone, whichever is more convenient. Once your self-employment status has been established, you will have chosen either CIS Plus or Freelance Plus, and this will depend on your individual circumstances.

Self-Employment Checklists are project specific, and there is therefore a possibility that the circumstances of a particular project may determine that you, the subcontractor, are unable to work on a self-employed basis. We are then able to provide an alternative contracting solution – Umbrella Plus. Once this specific project is completed and you move onto your next project, then another self-employment checklist is completed.
